![]() ![]() We argue that this represents only a partial account of coworking. However, existing research is skewed towards the community aspect of coworking, treated largely as an end in itself and investigated by qualitative approaches only. ![]() I didn't play it personally, sadly, so i can't add as much as i would like. The number of self-employed, freelancers, and remote workers has risen steadily simultaneously a range of collaborative shared workspaces – coworking spaces – has emerged rapidly in which these individuals ‘work alone together’. It had a lot of "Hot Potato" style of combat, as everything had enough firepower to kill everything else really fast. charm, over the sheer insanity it could happen, like being attacked by flying toilets or sharks in outer space. It was not the most popular back in its heydays from 2007 to 2009, but like /V/Lancer, it had an unique. One of the few mods that could be considered "weirder" than this one. Weird Mods /V/Lancer (This mod) Asylum51 Try it out, it's got some cool shit to it, but again, unless you're really good at this game, don't try it. Flak is so tough that even when you're in the biggest, hugest, most insanely powered battleship, you'll find yourself having your ass kicked by Starfliers. The only really bad feature is that it isn't made for multiplayer, so enjoy having fun alone.įlak is a pretty well done mod, though really unless you know all the ins and outs of flying and dogfighting, don't try it out. The feeling is really god damn awesome, and the mod-maker is pretty much a bro. However, it turns Freelancer into more like a classic space-sim, with lots of laser dodging and micromissiles everywhere. One of the very, very, very good mods out there, Itano Circus is little more than a combat overhaul mod. It can be a little difficult to get started, and the server is RP, which is a little inflexible. The best known thing it adds is the nation of Gallia, basically, Space French that were very angry with the nations that spawned the other four Houses of Sirius, and built their own House, with blackjack and hookers (not literally) to kick their asses. The one with the largest community, Discovery adds all kinds of stuff (ships, factions, systems, you name it). It gets over the early game grind by having every ship drop its pilot after being destroyed, who can later be sold for tens of thousands of credits at any prison. From what I've seen, it seems the lead dev of this mod, SWAT-OP-R8R, had a lot of bad blood with Trainwiz and this mod over using assets without permission, but i'm not fully sure. ![]() It also has a server with events and buildable space stations. Made by the Swat community, Crossfire acts as an expansion/sequel to the game, adding 4 new sectors besides Sirius, and lots of new ships, including those from Starlancer, both from the Alliance and the Coalition (The latter also exists as a faction in there). There's also simpler ones, that simply enhance what the game already has, like Itano Circus. Some, like Discovery and Crossfire, act as full blown sequels, while others, like the Russian mod Freelancer Rebirth, take things up to eleven and create superbosses with literal billions of HP and planet-destroying weapons. Over the nearly two decades Freelancer's been out, countless communities have risen, developing mods of all kinds. There are other mods than v/Lancer or its video game successor, Underspace.
